Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition

It was recently announced that Final Fantasy: Crystal Chronicles Remastered Edition was going to be released sometime in 2019 for both the Nintendo Switch and Playstation 4. Originally released on the Nintendo Gamecube on February 9th, 2004, this spin-off of the Final Fantasy franchise was an action RPG, where players took control of a caravan that used crystals to ward off a terrible miasma that was plaguing the lands.

While it was a fun game, and even allowed up to four people to play, the original version required that each player have a Gameboy Advance and a Link Cable, which hooked up to the Gamecube. Though it was an interesting idea, in practice, it was hard to find friends with everything needed for multiplayer. With the game coming to new platforms, especially the portable Nintendo Switch, it will be intriguing to see the changes made to multiplayer.

Though the game was light on story, the music and art were charming, and they even introduced the greatest Final Fantasy race of all time: the Yuke. These odd bird people cover their faces with helmets, and have a knack for arcane magic. With the remastered version coming out in the next year, it will be exciting to get more information about updates and changes made to Final Fantasy Crystal Chronicles.
